MUSIC BIO

Hi, I’m Macie Rae. I’m 13 years old and I have been performing music for a little over a year now. I sing, play the guitar and piano and write music. I just completed my second original song, which is called “Not Ready to Say Goodbye”. The song is about my 17-year-old sister, who will be going off to college next year and how much I’m going to miss her and all the fun things we do together. I am also working on other original songs and many covers.

I enjoy performing country music, soft rock, and pop. Last month, we just completed my vocal reel, which is a mashup of eight songs in different genres. Through that process, I have gained an appreciation for other music genres like jazz, ballads, Disney theme songs, rhythm and blues, and even Spanish songs! My favorite artists are Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodriguez, and Morgan Wallen.

I have performed at restaurants, parks, churches, private clubs, sporting events, the Orange County Fairgrounds, Campus Jax’s and El Mercado Markets. In the Summer of 2022, I performed with a band that’s called “You’re on Mute” at the Orange County Fairgrounds. It’s a band of six 12-year-olds from my school that primarily played rock music. Last summer, I opened for The Tijuana Dogs which is a popular local band from Orange County. Also, Sophia Rabin and I performed together at Campus Jax’s in Newport Beach, California. On Labor Day weekend, I opened for The Smith Band at a community event. Lately, I have been performing as the headliner at El Mercado Markets, which is a California chain of over 40 grocery markets.
